Breaking a Strong Cross Collar Grip from Standing
1 Part Lesson — Paul demonstrates how to avoid domination by a Cross-Collar Grip from the Standing Position: [I] After freeing your sleeve from any grips your opponent makes on your arm, make a Thumb-Down Grip over your opponent's Cross-Collar Arm and remove his grip by yanking on your own jacket as you press him away. Again, it is important to make grips after you break grips; don't give your opponent the opportunity to undo your work.
