2 Part Lesson — Marcelo shows several treatments against countermeasures to his Seated 2on1 Control: [I] Reaching for one arm, grab the 2on1; if he tries to grab you in the beginning, intercept his hand and make the 2on1. Hang off of the opponent's arm and pull Seated Guard. If he runs around toward the side of his captured arm, follow him and keep yourself squared up. If he tries to run around the other way, you can catch him with your hook. If he tries to cross his knee through, you can meet him with Shin-on-Shin for a Hook Lift to 1Leg X. If you can hold onto his elbow during the 2on1 while you lift his leg, you will have more control against his defense. [II] Prevent your opponent from landing heavily as he cuts his knee inside by dragging his body across with the 2on1. If he passes arouind to far, take his leg and bring it up off the mat for the Single.
