2 Part Lesson — Marcelo teaches how to Escape the Kimura from Half Guard and N/S: [I] As soon as you realize your opponent decides to turn onto your Underhook from the Half Guard for a Kimura, immediately bump your outside arm underneath his hips to rescue your trapt arm. Utilize the Bridge Escape to force the opponent to release the hold or face getting swept. [II] If he goes for the Kimura from Side Control, still rescue your arm from underneath and protect it, but be prepared to wedge your knee inside his arms to break his grip when he travels to N/S for the stronger finish.
