3 Part Lesson — Marcelo shares more insight on Gi-Grips for the Single: [I] Slow down the pace of your opponent when he stands to pass by latching onto his knee for Single Leg Control from the Seated Guard Position. Utilize the lapel through the opponent's legs to help fortify your Technical Lift for Running-The-Pipe on the Single Leg Takedown. [II] If you lose control over the opponent's leg but still maintain control over the Lapel, switch off to Double Leg Takedown. If you cannot reach his far leg for the Double, grab onto his collar and hang on it to spin the opponent down to the ground. [III] If your opponent capitalizes by grabbing your sleeve, grab his sleeve too and pop up to your feet soon; before you lose position, use your knee to swipe off his grip and then reach for the collar to hit the takedown.
