2 Part Lesson — Marcelo counters a pesky grip while sprawling against a single: [I] If your opponent attaches himself to your pants from standing or from Side Control for a Single Leg, you must sprawl heavily and repeatedly sink your hips down to extend his grip. If his hand is still caught on your pants, use your near hand to peel off his hand by the meat of his palm, twisting the wrist outward. [II] If your opponent is alternating his grips on your leg to maintain control while you continually sprawl, you must address his counter more directly. Pummel for an underhook on his arm to keep him away from your leg and finishing the single.
