2 Part Lesson — Marcelo recovers his Butterfly Guard from a Near-Pass: [I] If your opponent grabs your collar and leg to pass to either side, use your arms to frame against his weight and tuck your head, protecting your neck from a crossface. Chase your opponent's legs and hips with your feet; either free your bottom leg and capture full or half guard, or sneak your top leg inside as a Butterfly Hook to recover. [II] If you cannot catch the opponent with your legs, turn away and throw your hipd against him with the a Granby Roll to replace your legs back in front.
