2 Part Lesson — Marcelo maintains Seatbelt Control after jumping on the Back: [I] Align your chest in parallel with your opponent's upper back and squeeze your arms tightly to avoid slipping overhead. If you cannot readily place your hooks inside to secure the position and you begin falling off, immediately catch yourself by landing off to the side (of your overhook) and avoid his arm. Step back around behind his arm away from the takedown and capture his nearside arm with the Crucifix. [II] If your opponent manages to grab onto your leg, quickly switch to the Front Headlock Position and sprawl your leg free. Bring his elbow inward and cut your knee behind his arm to grant access back to the Seatbelt; establish either Back Control, the Crucfiix, or directly attack with the Rear Naked Choke.
