2 Part Lesson — Marcelo clears the knee-line against a leg entanglement: [I] Vertically retract your lower leg, raising your knee to your shoulder to escape your opponent's Inverted Entry into the 50/50 (or 50-Zero, D.O.A, et al). Don't leave your other leg behind after the first escape; remember to take your other leg straight up and out too just in case. [II] If your leg is stuck, fall back and kick yourself out in mid-air. Don't wait to kick when you hit the ground, and keep kicking until you are free.
