4 Part Lesson — Paul describes several variations of countering the Front Body-Lock from the Standing Position. Sag your weight on the opponent's arms, keeping your hips far away from direct access. Try to make a frame on the opponent's jaw to help break open his or her grip. You can also simulate raking up under the chin/nose as you press the lower back and collapse into the Mount. If you cannot create a frame for separation, place your forearm across his or her hips and open up a gap in front of your shoulder to pummel back an Underhook. Once in the mount, avoid the opponent's hip-escape by transitioning to the S-Mount; finish the fight with the Katahajime (aka Single-Wing Strangle, Half-Nelson Collar Choke, et al.)
