Posture Escape vs Triangle
2 Part Lesson -- Marcelo postures out of a Triangle Choke: Make a grip on your opponent's lapel and double up with your opposite hand to help frame the hips. Work your knee against the outside of the hips on the side of your trapped arm and exhaust your opponent's legs until he or she unlocks. If you can't make a grip right away, dig your elbow down by the hip to prevent your arm from getting dragged across. If your opponent grabs your head to pull down, use your top hand to knock away the control and immediately dart back to the frame with posture. [05:48] Drill from the position where you are caught with your head and arm inside the legs; when you hear the timer sound, immediately lock out and find your posture. If you are attacking the Triangle, break your opponent down quickly before he or she has a chance to set up the defense.
