2 Part Lesson -- Marcelo utilizes an Armdrag to setup a Single or Back-Take: Rather than guiding your opponent's arm across as is normally done with a drag to setup a forward shot, hang your weight backwards off of the arm pulling the opponent into a forward-facing imbalance. This disruption to the opponent's base can lead to a Single Leg opportunity; fall to your hip and trip the opponent with an extended leg as you reach around the outside to grab the Single. Prepare to come up with the leg and chase the opponent down if they try to escape by fleeing into the direction of your pull. Finish the Single by Running-the-Pipe. [01:59] If your opponent comes down low from your Armdrag, posting his or her hands to the mat, reach over the back instead of to the outside for the leg and jump on top for the Seatbelt. Make sure your partner is prepared to accept your falling body weight when you hop up to set your hooks.
