Marcelo explores options with Kanan regarding how to prevent their opponents from posting out against a sweep: Concentrate on keeping a rigid structure imposed on your opponent's triceps by actively reinforcing the angle of your elbows as a simultaneous pinch and frame. Employ a Gable Grip (thumbless palm-to-palm) with the backside of your under-hooking hand facing you, while pressing your opposite forearm against the front your opponent's shoulder. If you need to dedicate extra attention to your opponent's posting arm (over your under-hook), you can switch and swing your framing forearm across your opponent's face and pinch (crunch, wedge, et al.); i.e. if there is enough space available and your opponent isn't stacking you. Otherwise, wait for the ideal moment to extend your opponent's weight onto your Butterfly-Hooks and guide their back onto the mat towards their compromised posting arm for the sweep.
