Marcelo reminds and encourages his students to partake in self-directed isolation and exercise of specific parts of their game: Muscular endurance can be a big factor when competing against similarly skilled competitors, so work your mind in conjunction with your grips whenever you get a chance to train with a partner; e.g. you can practice holding onto the Seat-Belt Control and squeezing from the Back until your arms gas out during a roll. This kind of specific training can help you find opportunities to work on developing longevity with your controls. Conversely, you can also play a game where you constantly switch from control to control, working on your creativity and conditioning. Always seek to make your motions as efficient as possible, trying to find perfection in each movement as you strive towards ideal technique.
