1Leg X Guard Entry from Single Leg Control vs Mount
Marcelo helps Phil troubleshoot a transition from a Kneeling Single-Leg Takedown/Sweep into Single-Leg X-Guard: If you decide that you cannot easily come up with your opponent's leg when turning inward for a Single, you can switch for a guard recovery instead as long as your opponent isn't putting too much weight downward into the mat. Free your opponent's foot out from in between your knees towards the outside while pulling yourself underneath their base. Use your inside hand to help post against your opponent's hip or far-knee to stop them from taking the Full-Mount Position.
