4-Part Advanced Lesson -- Fabio transitions through a series of low-risk wrestling attacks: Don't reach for a Collar-Tie against your opponent on the same-side as your lead-leg; doing so will leave you vulnerable to an undefended Single-Leg attempt. Instead, grab onto their neck using your hand that is opposite to your leading foot. This will leave your other hand free to down-block or under-hook against any threat against your legs. Track your opponent's elbow and slide down to control their wrist as you apply a level-change and snap your opponent's head downward with the Collar-Tie. [2:17] When they lift themselves up to avoid the snap-down, take your shot onto a Single with your head centered at their chest. Connect your hands together with a Gable-Grip, placing the hand from the outside palm down to hold up their leg while you work to finish. [3:51] Keep your head up until you are ready to drop your outside shoulder and run-the-pipe to finish the Single-Leg Takedown. [6:11] If your opponent pummels their trapped leg to the outside, kick your outside-leg backward and step back over top of their foot, squatting down with split-legs and pinching their leg straight. From here, you can reach inside and hike their foot up into your inside-armpit; grab on top of their knee and apply pressure downward as you steer your opponent towards the mat for a finish.
