Back Escape vs Armbar from Back Control
Marcelo and George talk about securing and defending against an Armbar from the Back: Your opponent may try to trap you into an armlock if you escape from their back-control. After you break their seat-belt and gain 2on1 control over their choking-arm, be wary of your opponent lacing their free-arm around your elbow; this might be indicative of a transition into the armbar once you twist over and take top position inside their guard. Be ready for this potential threat by preparing yourself to deal with this submission next; protect your arm from extension by locking a figure-four grip and immediately look to stack your opponent.
