Guillotine Choke from Side Control
Marcelo briefly corrects a common mistake made when attempting the Guillotine Choke from Side Control: After having rolled your defensive opponent onto their shoulder, make sure to land on top of your opponent's neck with your ribcage without driving them back flat on the mat. Drop your weight vertically from above while contacting the underside of their neck with your forearm. Tilt your chest away slightly to make enough room for your secondary hand to slip in between your bodies and make connection with your choking-hand. Lean sideways from your top positioning so that your weight helps augment the pressure directed from your forearm as it throttles while your lower lat-muscle helps cut off the opposite section.
