Elbow Push Escape vs Side Control, Armbar from Closed Guard
Marcelo prevents a pin and finds a finish: If your opponent is able to tackle your hips and bring you down to the mat, they still need to make a shift from your lower-body to your upper-body in order to establish pinning pressure. Before they have a chance to connect to your chest with Under-Hook and Head-Control, frame from the inside with your near-side hand against your opponent's Cross-Face. Use your opposite hand to help deflect their cross-facing arm to the far-side, exposing their triceps for your near-side hand to latch onto and create a stiff-arm block. Rock your legs together to help sit up off your back while continuing to push your opponent's elbow away from your head; as they continue to pressure forward, retract your legs back inside and close around your opponents hips into the Closed-Guard. Take a cross-grip against your opponent's elbow while controlling a same-side wrist and plant your foot against their hip on the side of their trapped arm. Knock your other leg hard into their armpit to break their posture even farther while cutting around the corner for an Armbar. Replace your same-side wrist control for a post against their near-side shoulder to prevent stacking pressure until you can clear your leg from their hip to hooking around their head. Find their wrist once more and elevate your hips behind their elbow while back-heeling your legs downward to execute the Arm-Lock finish from Closed-Guard.
