Spiral Armbar from Mount
Marcelo develops a strong attack from Mount: If your opponent doesn't attempt to escape while held down in mount and potentially expose their back for the taking, begin pummeling your hands inside of their defensive posture until you can successfully force one of their hands outside. Separate their arm even more by sliding your knee high up behind their shoulder and trapping their elbow to the outside while using your upper-body to also help isolate around it. Drop your free-leg over their opposite arm and down on top of their other shoulder; if they attempt to sit up and escape from your attack, let your bottom-foot slip free out from underneath their shoulder and press them back down flat again with your leg draped across their chest. Keep your leg tight against their neck and use it to help knock your opponent down if they attempt to sit back up to defend. Your opposite-leg is now free to flex inward and press behind your opponent's trapped arm for the Spiral-Armbar. Remember to stay crunched forward and not lean backwards like a traditional arm-lock; stay curled forward and prevent your opponent from getting their hand back inside.
