2 Part Technique - While maintaining the Mount position, you have to anticipate an eventual strong and sudden escape attempt by your opponent, e.g. the Turning Escape. Before he has a chance to push your knee back into his half guard, plant your foot flat onto the mat and sprawl your weight through it. This will redirect your opponent's energy into moving just your knee back and not your entire leg into his half. Position your stomach so that you can drive your body weight onto the back of his triceps and remove his hands from your knee. If he lets your bring him back flat with his arm still glued to your belly, transition to S-Mount and attack the Armbar from Mount. If he flattens back down and takes his arm away, quickly pull his other arm onto your lap for the Spiral Armbar from Mount. If you happen to lose his wrist, simply grab it with both hands and finish with the traditional armbar position.
