Pull Guard, Scissor Sweep from Closed Guard, Armbar from Mount

1 Part Technique - One way to start a round of sparring from your knees is to pull Closed Guard using Collar and Elbow Control. First, post your foot below your collar grip, and use it to take weight off of your other leg so that you can slide your foot to his hip as you sit. Once sitting, pull him into the Closed Guard, crossing your ankles behind his back, and look to reverse the position with the Scissor Sweep. Remember to load his hips onto the scissors, making his legs easier to kick out since they no longer bear as much weight when pulled on top of you. After getting on top, attack his outstretched arm with the self-defense style armbar from Mount.
