Omoplata from Triangle, Triangle from Omoplata
2 Part Technique - If your opponent tries to avoid the Triangle Choke by hiding his trapt arm on the outside, one option is to transition for the Omoplata. The key to the Omoplata is heavy, steady shoulder pressure from a hard chop with your leg. It is a common mistake to cross the foot in front of his face, since it doesn't control his posture should he decide to slip away. Drop your leg to the mat, control the tricep, pinch the knees, and pull yourself diagonally across his back for the finish. If he is strong and rises back up against your chopping leg, catch him again inside the Triangle, this time making sure to cross his arm to the inside for the finish.
