Spiral Armbar from Side Control, Triangle from Mount
2 Part Technique - When an opponent isn't content just lying under your Side Control, he will take advantage of any opportunity to occupy the space you make when you release Underhook & Head Control to hunt for a submission. If dealing with this scenario, utilize the Nearside Spiral Armbar, which allows you to remain tight to your opponent while setting up the armlock position: Slide your knee underneath his free arm while holding him down and trap his elbow high on top of your lap. Press his far-wrist down into his chest, whipping your leg over the arm, onto his far-shoulder for the Spiral Armbar. If he prevents you from initially sliding under his nearside arm by stiff-arming your hip, move your knee onto his belly and pummel around his block with your knee, pinning it to the mat. When ready, slide your pin off, putting his nearside arm in between your legs, and throw your leg over his body into the mount, still keeping control of his head. Reverse your base, cutting your leg underneath the back of his neck, and lean over to lock the figure-four for the Mounted Triangle.
