2 Part Technique - If your opponent likes to play flat on his back with his feet fighting your hands, the underhook is well defended and you will have to deal with his legs before you can pummel for upper body control. Grab onto his ankles, and then hug his knees together onto your chest. Next, bring his feet to the mat, and then throw his knees to the side as you drop your weight onto his hips for the Folding Pass. Use Double Under Control to check his hips from recovering the guard and circle to the side after cleaning off his remaining hooks. If you can't bring his feet together, split his thighs apart and pull yourself heavily on top of his legs for Knee Across Pass vs Butterfly. This pass, like the Folding Pass, involves using your foot to hook his lower leg before circling or cutting into the Side Control.
