2 Part Technique - Next in Henrique's Bridge Escape vs North South series is what to do when the opponent counters with Kesa-Gatame, or the Sit-Out Scarfhold. Use a quick bridge to lift his hips up off the mat, allowing your nearside knee to slide underneath and catch his hips onto your lap. Then, scoop out your own hips while he is still loaded up and push him off of you into Side Control to reverse the position. If he posts his arm out to block the reversal, occupy the space underneath his arm and slide out the backdoor to take his back with the Seatbelt.
