Knee-On-Belly to Mount, Armbar from Mount Position
4 Part Lesson — Marcelo demonstrates the proper action for taking the Mount from Knee-On-Belly, and he also explains how to find the Armbar from Mount against an opponent who is properly defending his arms: [I] Despite transitioning to the Knee-On-Belly, your opponent may opt to stay defensive, preventing you from easily trapping his arms for attack. If this happens, slap your leg over his body heavily for the Mount. [II] Remember upon mounting, curl your heel into the opponent's butt to make sure he has difficulty finding your ankles for escape. [III]. In one movement, hop on top of the opponent's chest, laying one leg across his arm while lifting up on the elbow of the other arm. Scoop up his arm into the crook of your elbow and cross your leg over his face as you sit back for the Armbar from Mount. [IV]. If you miss his arm after the hop, quickly dismount back down to Side Control.
