2 Part Lesson — Marcelo teaches how to recover the Back Mount after his opponent rolls from Turtle, and finds a submission in the process: [I] If you miss covering your opponent's hip on the roll-away, place your leg inside his half guard and begin driving his back up off the mat with your other foot. Once there is enough space, cut your knee back underneath his hip to finish out the roll and set your hooks. [II] If your opponent leaves his arm extended near your legs, perhaps to hold away your hooks, clear his grip with your feet and capture his arm inside the Crucifix Armbar. Make sure to lace the figure-four toward the direction of the opponent's legs; Marcelo insists that this is the higher percentage finish against tough opponents.
