3 Part Lesson — Marcelo handles the DLR-Guard in the Gi: [I] If you encounter difficulty removing your opponent's DLR-Hook with a Back-Step Reset, try kicking your ankle free and slipping your leg out between his legs into Side Control. [II] Trust in your grip and sit on your opponent's hook if you can't find an opening. If you notice him reach for your belt, drop your weight on the ground by his side and claim a Reverse Underhook for the Back-Step Pass to N/S. [III] If he gets the underhook when you drop down, scoop up his leg with your arm and drive him back flat.
