Elbow Push Escape vs Side Control, Sit Up Escape vs Side Control, Hip Turn vs Reverse Side Control, Reverse Side Control vs Back Control, Stand Up Escape vs Back Control
3 Part Lesson — Marcelo avoids his opponent's Back Control after defending a Pass: [I] If your opponent resists against your Elbow Push Escape, bypass the obstruction by sitting up and draping your arm over his back for the Hip Turn Reversal or Guard Recovery. [II] If you miss his back and he slips around to take yours, defend against the Seatbelt and claim his wrists for a Back Escape; either place your shoulders on the mat or twist over his body to land on top. [III] If the opponent sets a Back Hook while behind and looks to roll underneath, go with his momentum and turn over to your knees for the Standing Back Escape.
