Standing with control to break Closed Guard, Leg Throw vs Head Stand Sweep
2 Part Lesson - Gripping at the opponent's abdomen creates the control needed in standing and to prevent him from crossing your arms. If you feel it is necessary to stop him from breaking your hold, modify your grip by twisting the opponent's lapel to construct a stronger control. Anticipate the opponent's extension against your lead leg as he attempts to sweep and swim inside immedaitely to throw his leg, passing the guard.
