Cross Collar & Sleeve Control from Butterfly, Loop Choke from Butterfly Guard, Loop Choke from Side Mount, Omoplata from Butterfly Guard
3 Part Lesson — Marcelo shows details for the Loop Choke: [I] If your opponent knocks your Butterfly back and tries to perform a toreando-style pass, use Cross Collar & Sleeve Control to set up a Loop Choke. Slap his head underneath your armpit and roll to your back, letting him pass into a tighter choke. Hold onto his back to prevent him from rolling out. [II] Be prepared to follow your opponent up on top as he bails from above to release the pressure of the choke. Allow him to fall on his back as you rise up and finish the squeeze like a wrestler pinning his opponent with a ½ Nelson. [III] If the opponent hides his throat by tucking his chin down, keep your foot outside and double up on the back of his arm that is holding down your leg. Switch your hips sideways and swing your leg over his shoulder, dropping him down into an Omoplata.
