3 Part Lesson — Marcelo teaches how to handle the Front Headlock against Butterfly: [I] If your opponent crunches you down with a Front Headlock and Sprawl against your Butterfly Guard, use your hook to follow him as he circles to the side and flip him over with a Hook Lift to gain the top position. Run around or flip over to the side that leaves you in a position that defends the Guillotine Choke. [II] If you can pass your trapped arm to the opposite side of the opponent after flipping him over, you can transition into the North/South Position on top. [III] If your opponent is able to cut to your side while still holding you inside the Front Headlock, chase his nearside leg with your Butterfly Hook and flip him over with a Hook Sweep. Make sure to jump over and land onto the side of your opponent in which you may free your neck from the Guillotine.
