2 Part Lesson — Marcelo shows how the Armbar from Mount plays well against X-Choke Defense: [I] After properly maintaining the Mount Position, insert your hand inside your opponent's collar and form a grip alongside his neck. If his hand begins to bother you from settling in, use your chest to isolate his neck away from his arm. Fight across to the opposite side of his neck against his free hand and make a grip on his shoulder. Finish by placing your forehead on the mat by your shoulder-grip hand and squeeze by pulling your initial grip back. [II] If your opponent grabs your X-Grip with his hand from the same side, drag his elbow across his chest and immobilize it with your bodyweight. Keep his back flat and force him to face away from his trapt arm before driving forward and swinging your leg over his face for the Armlock.
