3 Part Lesson — Marcelo shows a Rockstar/Baseball Slide vs DLR/RDLR: [I] Avoid letting your opponent gain control over your hands as you approach his guard; point your lead knee to the outside to stifle his Delariva-Hook and stuff his other leg in between your knees. Shove his leg through and vault over the top of it for a 7pt Pass and Mount. If your opponent shifts his hips to apply the Reverse De La Riva Guard, jam your knee to the inside to block his access into its Spiral variations. [II] When fighting nogi, take advantage of the slipperiness and try sliding through his Reverse DLR. Quickly, land next to him and establish the top position with an Underhook in Side Control. If you overshoot, roll over to North/South. [III] If he applies a Knee Shield with his RDLR, knock away his leg before you cut your hips through his guard.
