3 Part Lesson — Marcelo threatens a choke while passing: [I] If you cannot find an Underhook as you transition from side to side in your opponent's Half Guard, chances are, his neck is unprotected and therefore susceptible to the Guillotine Choke. [II] Catch a good opponent in a submission during your transition; when he'll least expect an attack. If your arm doesn't connect to his throat, but rather the side of his neck, you can still finish a variation of the Guillotine from Side Control by comitting your weight onto his neck through your grip. [III] Increase your finishing percentage by attempting your attack while moving from position to position; don't disconnect your movements and approach serially.
