Open Guard to Quarter Mount → Torreando Pass vs Foot Wipe → Backstep Pass vs Inverted Guard → Duck-Under vs Inverted Half Guard
3 Part Lesson — Marcelo passes from Quarter Mount: [I] Place your opponent in Quarter Mount and defend your inside space with your two free remaining limbs against the opponent's three active parts until you can close the distance and gain an Underhook. When he uses his free foot to wipe you clean off from the position and free himself from the Quarter Mount, hide your profile from his sole and grab his bottom leg for a Torreando/Shoulder-Drive/Circle Pass to North South. Run your hips into the opponent's frames with his arms before landing your weight down on top of his torso for the top position. [II] If your opponent decides to invert, hold down his bottom leg and hide your nearside foot back inside his guard on the other side of his leg; from here, slide down onto his side with a Reverse Underhook and establish the top. [II] If he begins rocking while Inverted for a Tornado Guard Sweep or Leglock Entry, grab onto his pendulum and duck under it, running all the way to the opposite hip. Don't go all the way to North/South as a 360° rotation is too far for a singular action to be successful.
