Hook Sweep from Butterfly → Double Leg from Butterfly
2 Part Lesson — Marcelo talks on momentum: [I] If you miss a component of your initial attack, leaving your opponent free to counter, don't stop your attack and reset back into the position; rather, continue forward with whatever you can collect next from his response. For example, if you perform a Hook Sweep with Collar & Elbow Control, and your opponent frees his elbow, tackle his legs and finish with a Single, High Crotch, or Double Leg Takedown off of the Hook Sweep. [II] Your opponent may go in defensive mode after you continue the momentum of your attack. When this happens, prepare to catch whatever you can before he fully escapes. You may need to incrementally trade-up better and better control from an ankle all the way up to his hips before securing the sweep or taking his back.
