2 Part Lesson — Marcelo avoids threats from Side Control & Mount (Bottom): [I] If you cannot switch to N/S when your opponent pummels for an Underhook from Side Control, pop up to Knee-On-Belly to keep the top position. If you notice your opponent slip his arm around your ankle, immediately execute a sprawl to free your leg from danger. If he manages to place his leg in front of your body as he hooks your foot, quickly bail from the position and eject backwards. [II] If you cannot find the Underhook from Knee-On-Belly, improve to the Mount Position. If your opponent bumps you up to entangle your legs, swipe your leg across his chest and fall off to Side Control with an Underhook.
