2 Part Lesson — Marcelo explores aggressive options from neutral: [I] If your opponent's head is low, jump up and cover the back of his neck with your armpit for the Guillotine Choke. Pull guard with your legs separated to avoid letting your opponent control your knees and jumping to safety. Even though you may not succeed in the finish, breaking up your opponent's momentum and stifling the initiation of his game can make the difference in the match. If you are still standing after the attempt, shoot for a Double Leg if your opponent responds to the Guillotine by keeping his head farther away. [II] If you cannot find the hips or knees on the Double Leg, set up another shot with an Armdrag; toss his arm out of the way and take advantage of his reaction to reach his legs. Combine the Double Leg with a Minor Inside Trip to apply Marcelo's preferred variation of Morotegari & Kouchigake.
