Collar Control from Standing > Ankle Pick Takedown
2 Part Lesson -- Marcelo applies Kibisugaeshi: Seize your opponent's gi by the collar and avoid letting your opponent claim dominant grips. Use the grip to help stiff-arm the opponent from shooting onto your legs; however, don't allow them to pull you to the ground into a submission. Pull the opponent backwards to make them step forward and drop down for an Ankle Pick. Drive up and run the opponent down to the mat while lifting up the leg. [04:47] If you miss the initially targeted ankle, stay low and grab the other heel to keep the takedown. Run your opponent backwards as you raise the leg up off the mat and drive with the Collar Grip.
