Kick your trail leg free from any grips on your ankle to leave your lead leg in front for a pass. [02:04] If you need more time to work once on your feet against the Closed Guard, step on your opponent's biceps/triceps as you pop up to standing. [04:37] Don't rise up if your opponent has your arms entangled; always keep your hands in between and not posting anywhere on the mat to avoid counters.
