Pulling Guard
Marcelo takes time to present several important ideas about positive training: When starting a roll with a partner, if you are both in a downed-position, try your best to minimize the amount of time spent grip-fighting and wrestling from your knees. Someone should take the risk of playing on bottom first and allow for a much more dynamic and practical exchange to occur. Always play to your strengths in competition, but flesh out your weaknesses during live-training. Communicate with your partner via action instead of words and reciprocate a positive learning experience by modulating your behavior per their specific disposition and needs.
