Knee on Belly
1-Part Drill -- Paul devises a game to develop balance in the Knee-on-Belly Position: Starting with your shin across your partner's belly and your opposite knee up off the mat, try to maintain a connection with your partner without using your hands to post on the floor. The player in the bottom position receiving the Knee-Mount must keep their elbows tucked in and cannot push the top player's knee off of their torso during the movement drill; they can however try to bump and bridge slightly to force out a post. The top player must also keep their outside knee from touching down onto the mat. Developing this skill is important for establishing points in most rulesets as well as good practice for maximizing weight delivery.
