2 Part Technique - The opponent is vulnerable to the North South choke if he attempts to escape Knee on Belly by pushing with his arms. As soon as he exposes his neck, wrap your arm around his head and land onto your hip. If you stay in this position, the opponent has the opportunity to bridge and escape. Quickly align yourself parallel to him, squaring up your hips to the mat and finishing the choke by clasping your hands and dropping your shoulder. If the opponent resists by turning hard onto his side before you can clear his arms and clasp your hands together, catch one of his legs and throw his hips back to the mat and pursue the finish once more.
