2 Part Technique - Keep your elbow tight to hide from your opponent's underhook and push his knee back into your half guard before he can complete his Knee Slide Pass. After you've dealt with the threat of the pass, target his grip on your collar and remove it before proceeding further into your sweeps. Once his grip has been peeled off, transfer his arm across his body for the Cross Arm and Belt Control. Dive your head underneath your opponent while holding onto his sleeve and belt to flip him over with the half guard. If the opponent tries to interfere with your grip removal by crossfacing, block his arm like a boxer covering his face and push his arm off your head to the opposite side. With his tricep exposed, latch onto his sleeve by his elbow and grab onto his belt. Once he is forced into this turning pass position, insert a butterfly hook and kick him over to finish the sweep.
