3 Part Technique - If your opponent blocks your path to the Farside Armbar from Side Control by holding onto your knee, pin his arm to the mat with your other knee and then switch your base to square back up for the armlock. If you feel off-balance while trying to pin his arm in this way, pin his arm to the mat with your foot leading first rather than with the knee. The best way to finish is to bring his arm down by the side closest to his legs. If you miss this chance and he hitchhikes out on the other side, transition into the Omoplata submission. If he tries to counter this shoulderlock by hopping or cartwheeling over you, sit up quickly with your hand in the air to block his trajectory and guide him back down onto his knees by your side.
