2 Part Technique - While passing with Over and Under Control, your opponent may be able to squirm his elbow inside and ruin your underhook. Keep a firm hold on the overhook so that he can't combine his hands for a frame, and trade your flimsy underhook for a more secure control by wrapping around his back and gripping onto the back of his collar. This is essentially the gi version of the Cross Arm Underhook & Head Control used when executing the Over Under Pass in Nogi. Get behind his elbow with your chest and plow your weight into the back of his arm to hold him down while you finish the legwork for the pass. If you can't get behind his elbow, release your overhook and pull his wrist across his chest to gain the control. If he takes advantage of the fact that you've released the overhook and he builds a frame, avoid letting it bother you by switching for Head & Arm Control (similar to an Arm Triangle Choke). If he uncrosses his arm over his face, don't worry; simply continue to hold tightly with Underhook & Head Control to finish the remaining pass.
