3 Part Technique - Learning to battle during the transition is oftentimes the difference the success or failure of a pass. However, if your opponent takes a defensive posture to protect himself from your underhook, use his inactivity to work your knee free from his Half Guard and drive it over to the opposite side. If he continues to hold his arms tightly to his chest, press his wrists down and clear your free leg over his face for the Leg Over Pass. If he blocks this pass, fill the opening he created with Reverse Underhook & Head Control for the Knee Cross Pass. If he won't let you drive him flat onto his back after you free your knee, secure a Collar Tie and cut out of his half with the Knee Slide.
