Reverse Lockdown to Half Butterfly, Hook Sweep from Half Guard, Bridge Escape from Half Guard
2 Part Technique - When your opponent has cinched an Over Under Pass versus your Half Guard that is so tight, that you cannot even make room with the Frame Escape, rely on footwork to aide in your escape. Pummel your outside foot under his leg to form a Butterfly Hook, and begin lifting his weight off of the mat for the Hook Sweep from Half Guard. If you notice his knee is too high to sneak your instep through, grapevine around his leg with the Reverse Lockdown and stretch him out until there is enough space to slip the hook in. While he is elevated, either cup over or under his posting arm, depending on where he places his hand on the mat, to finish the sweep. If there is no room whatsoever for setting up the Hook Sweep, use a modified bridge with an underhook and belt control to reverse him over onto his back. Switch your half guard from inside leg control to outside leg, allowing your inside foot to post on the mat as you tuck his arm in with the belt control.
