2 Part Technique - A good opponent will try to pass you with your back flat on the mat, and he may attempt to accomplish this by pushing you back with a collar or lapel grip. When this happens, place your feet on his hips or as hooks to avoid leglocks, and immediately yank off his grip for 2on1 Control. As long as you maintain the control, he will not be able to establish a control of his own to hold you down for the pass. Insert your farside foot under his leg for a butterfly hook, and reach from his elbow to his belt for the Cross Arm & Belt Sweep. If he runs farther than your hook can reach, create some distance with your near knee on his hip to bring him back into range for your butterfly hook.
